As part of the ongoing expansion of local engineering company Dodman Limited, Managing Director, Tim Skerritt welcomed back James to see their new Laser Cutting & Folding facility to complement their fabrication, welding, and machine shop services.
The new Laser Cutting and Folding Division utilises the latest in laser technology through a new Bystronic Bystar Fibre Laser machine. Combining the latest in sheet metal processing technologies, they can offer accurate, reliable, and affordable laser cut and folded products to customers' exact requirements.
The new facility aims to provide a steel cutting and folding service to a diverse range of clients working within various sectors including food, pharmaceutical, aerospace, and power generation. Dodman will in partnership with companies from the design and development of their products right through to prototyping and into full batch manufacturing.
This new facility has also enabled Dodman to expand their Health and Safety (H&S) Department with a new Training Facility. This will enable the H&S team to undertake in-house training and open it up for courses that other businesses can book. Courses on offer include: Abrasive wheel training, Fire Marshal training, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height Awareness, Harness Awareness, and CoSHH Awareness.
