James Wild MP for North West Norfolk has announced that Phoebe Gibbs, a pupil at Greenpark Academy, has won the competition to design his official Christmas Card for 2021.
The winning design which features a snowman and a Christmas tree will be printed with Phoebe’s name on the cards. The first card was delivered to the Prime Minister by James and other cards will be sent to local residents, community groups, and businesses across the community. Phoebe received a framed winner’s certificate, a photo of the Prime Minister with her card, and a voucher for a local toy shop.
Over 250 pupils entered the competition from primary schools across the constituency and commenting on the competition, James said:
“I was impressed by the tremendous response and I’m very grateful to everyone who entered with so many brilliant entries from schools across North West Norfolk. It was a tough choice to pick a winner but Phoebe’s great drawing stood out featuring classic Christmas characters.”
Given the number and high quality of the entries, James has also selected two runners up - Daniel Tansley from Heacham Junior School and Kahlan Coote from Howard Junior School. Their designs will feature on the back of Phoebe’s card sent by James. They receive runners up certificates and a voucher.
The competition is being run with the kind support of Prontaprint, St James Street, King’s Lynn who have printed the cards featuring the winning design.
