James was delighted to be invited to join QEH staff to celebrate their annual awards ceremony on Friday evening.
The awards recognised staff who go above and beyond to look after patients and who reflect the Trust's values of kindness, wellness, and fairness. James sat with Pratish Lukose, Surgical Assessment Unit, who won the The Living Our Values Outstanding Contribution Award which is for an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the delivery of safe, compassionate care.
Speaking after the event, James said:
It was a great evening at the #TeamQEHAwards to recognise the huge contribution staff have made to deliver better care and the improvements achieved as recognised by the health regulator’s latest ratings. It also provided a valuable opportunity to talk about the campaign for a new hospital following the autumn statement and the Health Secretary's commitment to sorting the RAAC hospital issues."
