This week, James is celebrating Colleges Week and all the brilliant things they do to build communities, boost businesses, and support individuals.
The Coronavirus pandemic has meant that colleges have had to adapt to challenges, meaning that this year, they are more inspiring than ever.
Colleges are an essential part in rebuilding our economy, the College of West Anglia will benefit from the National Skills Fund, allowing adults across North West Norfolk to retrain in crucial skills and industries such as health & social care.
During Colleges Week, The College of West Anglia has a series of support & enrichment activities planned to highlight the importance of the work they do in North West Norfolk.
Activities include talks with employers, building digital skills, building resilience and, the impact of COVID on education. As well as this, the College has produced a series of videos on reasons why the College of West Anglia in North West Norfolk is so special.
The College of West Anglia will also be celebrating the importance of further education funding, such as the School of Nursing fund they were awarded as part of the Towns Fund.
The College of West Anglia offers a vast range of courses, including integrated apprenticeships, these courses allow students to combine practical experience with training provided locally.
With over 40 apprenticeships offered it makes the College of West Anglia one of the biggest training providers in Norfolk.
Many North West Norfolk businesses have benefited from apprenticeships provided by the College of West Anglia. For example, the hospitality industry where these businesses have worked alongside the College to train industry standard chefs here in North West Norfolk.
