James was interviewed by BBC Radio Norfolk on making the compelling case for investment in QEH to the new Health Secretary, the impact of vaccines and lifting Covid controls, and a revised approach to isolation for pupils.
James set out that the compelling case for investment is well know in the Department for Health and Social Care, Treasury, and by the Prime Minister as was shown with the £20.6 million funding this year. He explained that with the support of MPs from Norfolk, Lincolnshire, and Cambridgeshire whose constituents use QEH, he has written to the new Health Secretary setting out the case for a new hospital and seeking a meeting to discuss that with Sajid Javid and invited him to come to the hospital.
