On Tuesday, James was interviewed by BBC Look East on the campaign for QEH to be selected as one of the new hospitals the government is committed to building.
The interview followed formal confirmation that QEH has come out of special measures and a vote by King's Lynn and West Norfolk councillors to back a new hospital.
QEH’s Chief Executive has also stated that there are now 56 acrow props and 1528 steel and timber supports within the ceiling. The increase in the number of props is due to the programme to check the structures and install failsafes to make sure the hospital is safe for patients and staff. It underlines the compelling case QEH has to be one of the new hospital schemes which James is campaigning for.
