James has joined the Leader of the Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk, Cllr Stuart Dark, and other volunteers for a beach clean at North Beach, Heacham.
The event was organised by the council’s Single Use Plastics Working Group (SUPWG) and resulted in 30 bags of rubbish being removed.
As a result of this event, the Single Use Plastics Working Group will be working with the RSPB on future beach cleans in the autumn and spring.
Anyone interested in organising their own community litter pick, is encouraged to visit www.west-norfolk.gov.uk/litterpick. The council will arrange to pick up and drop off litter kits, which include bags and pickers, and will arrange collection of the rubbish collected from an agreed place. This service is free.
