On 26th September Losi was delighted to welcome James as the MP for North West Norfolk to their new purpose built factory to carry out an official opening ceremony
LoSi Ltd, supplies hydraulic systems across the UK, Ireland & Europe to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the agricultural machinery, construction, marine and offshore sectors.
Acting as UK & Ireland partners for hydraulic component manufacturers such as M+S Hydraulic Motors Bulgaria & Caproni Hydraulic Pumps Bulgaria, Losi also has sister companies based in Germany & Bulgaria with a manufacturing facility for customised hydraulic manifolds.
Losi Ltd started in 2012, working out of a 20 ft container in the yard of Able Engineering Ltd on Hardwick Narrows Industrial Estate with 2 employees.
Over the following 10 years as the business grew the company expanded into 4 separate small units on the same site
To support the continued growth, in 2019 Losi opened a distribution warehouse in Ireland just north of Dublin. This warehouse services all of the Republic of Ireland customers.
As the UK business continued to grow, more storage space & employees were needed, with Losi now employing 10 people. Inevitably this meant even more space was needed. With the help of a good friend Geoff Cheney, Losi was put in contact with Walker Construction, based on North Lynn Industrial Estate. Mark Walker was able to supply an ideal plot of land, followed up by a complete design, project manage & build service.
Over a 2 year period a new purpose built 7000 sq ft factory was built for Losi on North Lynn Industrial Estate. Offices are located on the first floor & the main warehouse has the possibility for continued expansion as & when needed. This has enabled Losi to continue growth with customers across UK, Ireland & mainland Europe.
Commenting James said:
"Lynn and West Norfolk has a strong SME sector and it was a pleasure to officially open Losi Ltd.’s new factory to support their growing business. It was impressive to see the design of the products supplied to leading construction, agricultural, and other manufacturers in the market.”
Losi looks forward to the challenges of the next 10 years & making use of the full potential of the new warehouse.
