James Wild MP has visited the new School of Nursing Studies (SoNS) College of West Anglia ahead of it welcoming its first cohort of students
James was given a tour by Nurse Educator of the School of Nursing, Adrian Debney. He was impressed by the excellent facilities and workspace based on an actual hospital environment.
James joined other members of the Town Deal Board, borough council, and senior members of the QEH.
The £700,000 facility will see high quality training facilities developed at the site. It was funded as part of Accelerated Towns Deal Funding and that funded was in addition to the £25 million Government funding allocation for the King’s Lynn Town Deal.
The SoNS has recruited directly from the QEH workforce onto the new Level 5 Nursing Associate Apprenticeship. To strengthen its development and support its registration as a training provider with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, the School will collaborate with Anglia Ruskin Uuniversity to deliver the course.
