James Wild MP for North West Norfolk completed the 2022 TCS London Marathon in under four hours and raised over £1,000 in sponsorship for each of the three local charities.
After saying last year he would not run the London Marathon again, James had a Steve Redgrave moment and decide take part again. He finished the 26.2-mile course in 3 hours 37 minutes and 12 seconds and one of the 40,000 finishers in the 42nd London Marathon.
Commenting after the race James said:
"Having said I wouldn’t run it again, I’m pleased to have taken part in this incredible race again and to have raised valuable funds for three North West Norfolk charities. I’m very grateful to everyone who has donated to these causes to help make a difference in our area."
James has raised £1,338.75 for Pandora Project, £1,132.50 for West Norfolk Befriending, £1,111 for West Norfolk Deaf Association so far. The amounts include gift aid. Donations can still be made at www.jameswild.org.uk/londonmarathon
