During a statement in the House of Commons on Coronavirus, James referred to his meeting with Caroline Shaw, Chief Executive of the Queen Elizabeth hospital and the incident management team at the weekend.
He paid tribute to all the staff at QEH and pressed the Health Secretary to ensure that staff on the frontline continue to get access to the PPE that they need and that the hospital has access to more ventilators.
