As pubs, restaurants and other hospitality businesses prepare to welcome customers on Saturday 4th July, take a moment to study the rules and stay safe.
Before you swap your balcony for the beach, your sofa for a safari park, or your kitchen table for the local pub check out online guidance around domestic travel, along with the latest government advice, so you’re in the know before you go.
“We’re Good To Go” is the official UK mark to signal that a tourism and hospitality business has worked hard to follow Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines and has a process in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing.
Visit West Norfolk and Visit Norfolk are fully supporting this campaign and advice is available here https://www.visitnorfolk.co.uk/inspire/Know-Before-You-Go-Norfolk.aspx
To obtain the mark businesses must complete a self-assessment including a check-list confirming they have put the necessary processes in place, before receiving certification and the We’re Good To Go mark for display in their premises and online. An ‘alert’ system ensures that businesses signed up to the standard are notified of any changes to the official guidance. A call-handling service provides support and assessors would also carry-out random spot-checks to ensure adherence.
The process aligns to latest UK Government guidelines and there is a requirement that all business signing up have read the relevant public health guidelines and understand the need to aid social distancing and cleanliness.
The We’re Good To Go scheme is being operated by VisitEngland who has been running assessment schemes for many years. Keep up to date with the latest government guidance at www.gov.uk/coronavirus
