James is celebrating the annual Volunteers' Week this week to thank all those who give up the time to volunteer and make a difference in the North West Norfolk Community.
Volunteers’ Week takes place 1-7 June every year to recognise the contribution volunteers make to our communities. After the exceptionally difficult time during the Covid pandemic, the focus this year is to say thank you to all volunteers in North West Norfolk and elsewhere for their invaluable contribution.
In recent months James has met with King's Lynn Samaritans, West Norfolk Carers, West Norfolk Befriending, Little Discoverers, and other groups and volunteers to talk about the challenges they have faced, positive changes that have come from operating differently due to Covid, and how he can support their efforts.
Commenting James said, "I would like to thank all those who give up the time to volunteer and make a difference across North West Norfolk. We are fortunate enough to have a community with such a strong spirit and identity. This week I will be sharing stories of some of the people and businesses who have helped to make the difference in our area. I would encourage everyone to thank a volunteer for all their hard work."
Each day follows a central theme to guide your plans for Volunteers’ Week 2021 - time to say thank you; power of youth day; employer supported and skilled volunteering day; home nation's day; environment and conservation day; the big lunch day.
