James has encouraged parents and guardians to sign up to the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme for children eligible for means tested free school meals. This programme will include free activities as well as a healthy meal.
Bookings for activities throughout the summer are open for the Big Norfolk Holiday Fun, a programme of activities for 5-16 year olds across Norfolk.
Big Norfolk Holiday Fun programme is provided as part of the government’s £220 million Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) scheme and is being delivered by Norfolk County Council in partnership with Active Norfolk.
The sessions will include a variety of activities, including sports, music, arts and other exciting opportunities to learn and develop skills, alongside a free nutritious meal each day. Booking is on a first-come-first-serve basis.
Details of all the sessions available including how to register and book is on the Active Norfolk website . Parents will need to register first to get their code to ensure the activities are all free of charge.
