Primary school children in Norfolk enjoyed a lunch with their local MP as part of his visits to two local academies.
North West Norfolk MP James Wild visited Tilney All Saints and Anthony Curton primary schools on 13 October to meet with pupils and teachers.
James learned more about what the Diocese of Ely Multi-Academy Trust (DEMAT) schoolchildren had been studying, including French, art, and going on a nature walk to collect leaves for an art project.
Executive headteacher Dawn Liddle said:
“It was great to have James visit the schools and learn more about all the wonderful things our children are doing our pupils loved the opportunity to show James around the schools and to introduce him to everything they have been learning about so far this term. We hope he enjoyed his time with us and we look forward to welcoming him again soon.”
James is in the process of visiting schools in his constituency as part of his focus on spreading opportunity and improving education and said:
“I was pleased to have the opportunity to visit these two schools which work closely in partnership to deliver good education in North West Norfolk. There was a friendly atmosphere with pupils enjoying their lessons and play and teachers focused on helping all the children to thrive”
Children at the schools are set to mark harvest festival with a live-streamed event later this month, while owls are set to swoop into Tilney for a special day.
