North West Norfolk MP James Wild has enjoyed his first visit to West Lynn Primary School, where he was quizzed by pupils who were interested to learn about his work as their MP and where he met year six pupil James Wild!
West Lynn Primary School aims to provide a supportive learning environment in the heart of its community where pupils are exposed to a broad curriculum, including their forest schools programme.
During the visit, James visited each class, who were all very interested and were keen to ask James questions about his role, including what it is like to work in Parliament and the best part of his day. Pupils were also eager to tell James the best thing about their school, and many pupils told James they enjoyed coming to school.
In the year six class James was introduced to pupil James Wild!
The Junior Leadership Team, who act as the pupil voice for the school, met James in the hall to discuss their role within the school and compare James' role in North West Norfolk.
Commenting after the visit James said:
“There’s no substitute to visiting schools to talk to pupils and staff to help improve educational opportunities in West Norfolk. It was great to spend time at West Lynn primary where the children were very inquisitive in Junior Leadership Q&A sessions about my role as MP and reflecting on their role in school. I was also impressed by the broad learning approach making sure each child has a well-rounded education to help fulfil their potential.”
