James Wild MP praises vaccine volunteers as 3,500 people receive a vaccine in the 7 days to Wednesday.
James has paid tribute to volunteers and NHS staff who are delivering the vaccine programme in North West Norfolk, after spending a day as a volunteer steward at the Alive Corn Exchange. The Lynn based mass vaccination site is delivering around 400 vaccines a day on average.
James joined five other volunteers on Monday who supported the vaccination operation in various stewarding roles including: welcoming and checking people have appointments, guiding them through the registration process, ensuring the waiting area is regularly cleaned, and calling them forward to get their jabs.
Speaking after his day volunteering James said,
“It was a pleasure to be able to provide a little practical help to this successful vaccine rollout alongside other volunteers. There is a very positive team spirit with people happy to be getting the vaccine. I encourage everyone to get a jab when you are contacted to protect yourself and your community.”
